Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, HK are taking extra precautions to protect our staff and our community.
Please help us by arriving to your appointment on time, you will receive warm greetings, but no unnecessary physical contact. Please keep your belongings with you and refrain from bringing unnecessary items.
We are still social distancing where possible. Our premises are well ventilated but fairly small so avoid bringing friends and family with you, we do have a small waiting area but our staff may have to ask your guest to vacate the premises should space become a problem during your visit. If you would like to visit the salon during quieter times, just ask us for the best days/times.
We have a cleaning/disinfection schedule throughout the salon, with high contact points being given special attention.
With restrictions relaxing in the summer of 2021, masks have become optional for staff and guests at HK. Your stylist will always have a mask to hand and will be more than happy to wear it throughout your visit, this will be one of the first questions you will be asked on arrival.
While we hope we are moving forward towards normality, we are aware that restrictions may change at any time so please always be guided by our staff.
To guarantee availability, please book your appointments in advance.
HK has the right to ask for a non-refundable booking deposit should your stylist deem it necessary. The amount will be a minimum of 25% and will depend on the service you have booked.
Appointments must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. We understand emergencies come up but please be considerate to your stylist. Please ensure we have a valid mobile number in order for you to receive your confirmation texts.
Should repeat cancellations/no-shows occur, you will only be allowed to book an appointment if it is paid in full at the time of booking. No refunds.
While we will always try to give notice, prices are subject to change at any time. Please keep yourself updated by checking the website or our social media pages.
ALLERGY ALERT TESTING
This is possibly one of our most important procedures in the salon. If you experience an allergic reaction to any of our products, please notify us immediately so we can assist you.
Before your colour service at HK, you will be asked to come to the salon for an allergy test. This must happen no longer than 6 months prior to your appointment, and a minimum of 48 hours before your appointment. If you are a regular guest to HK, your stylist will tell you when your allergy test is due and it is likely they will incorporate it into your regular visits.
We do hold a record on your client file of allergy tests and this is only accessed by staff members.
If you feel your service was not provided with reasonable care and skill, please let us know. Refunds will not be given but we will do all we can to put this right within a reasonable amount of time and at our cost.
Personal data about clients and financial transactions are held on our secure salon software system which can only be accessed by senior staff members at HK. Your privacy and personal information are important to us, any personal information that you provide will never be shared with other salons, companies or any third parties without your permission.
As a valued client, we would like to send you information about our services which may be of interest to you. We will ask for your consent to receive this information and you have the right to ask us to delete, remove or stop using your personal information at any time.
